TOMPE “Ilmenite”, JSC offers enriched sands from the Tuganskoye deposit obtained using the wet enrichment technology – washed, clean sands, completely ready for inclusion in any process cycle with no additional preparation required.
- Quartz flour is used in the production of various building mixtures, increasing adhesion to coatings, frost resistance, moisture resistance and strength. Powder coatings containing quartz flour are resistant to abrasion, chipping and cracking;
- Quartz flour is included in the composition of protective coatings, sealants and adhesives, paints for road markings, construction varnishes and coatings;
- In electrode production, quartz flour is part of the furnace charge and is used to prepare liquid sodium glass;
- In metallurgy, quartz flour is used in chill casting. A filler made from this material smooths out roughness on cast surfaces, reduces the effect of temperature on the poured metal, aids in regulating the cooling of casting and simplifies the removal of the resulting mold.
